Obleevo and PairDrop, side by side
PairDrop finds the devices on the same local network by itself, and sends a file from one browser to the other, directly or through its relay, while both tabs are open. Obleevo keeps it nowhere: it goes from your browser to the other person’s, end to end encrypted, while you are both in the room. It is free, with no account and no ads.

2. When PairDrop is the better choice
Obleevo needs a room and an invite link, even for the phone on the desk next to you. PairDrop shows the devices on the same local network as soon as its page is open, with no link to share, and paired devices find each other again later. It is open source under the GPL-3.0 licence, so you can read its code and host your own. When that is what you need, PairDrop is the better choice.
3. How to switch
- Open obleevo.com.
- Create a room.
- Send the invite link. The other person accepts each file.
