How to reach us

Obleevo is free and run by a small operator in Canada. There is one way to reach us, by email, with a separate address for each kind of question so that yours goes straight to the right place.

1. Who runs Obleevo

Obleevo is run by The House of Brendrof, based in Quebec, Canada.

It is a free service: there is no paid plan and no account, so when you write there is no customer file for us to look up. Everything we know is what you tell us in your message.

2. General questions

For anything that does not fit below — how Obleevo works, a problem using it, a suggestion, an accessibility barrier — write to contact@obleevo.com.

If something does not work, say which browser and device you used, what you did and what you saw instead, and give the version shown on the status page. The accessibility statement lists what already works and what does not.

3. Your personal information

For a question about your personal information, or to exercise a right under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25 — access, rectification, withdrawal of consent, portability — write to privacy@obleevo.com.

The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the owner of The House of Brendrof, as the privacy notice states, and requests sent to that address reach them. We answer within 30 days.

Know what to expect before you write: we hold no account, no cookie and no stored IP address, so there is usually nothing about you for us to find. The section on your rights explains what those rights still mean here.

4. Security problems

If you have found a way around Obleevo’s security, write to security@obleevo.com. The Security page says what to include, what is in scope, the rules for testing and what we commit to in return; the same address is published in /.well-known/security.txt.

Please send a vulnerability to that address rather than the general one, and do not publish it before we have had a chance to fix it.

5. Abuse and illegal content

To report misuse — harassment, illegal content, a page pretending to be Obleevo — write to abuse@obleevo.com. We aim to respond within two business days.

Be aware of what we can and cannot do. What is shared in a room is encrypted end to end between browsers and never reaches our server, so we cannot look inside a room, and once a room closes nothing of it is left with us. What we can do is cut access by the means in section 13 of the Terms, report to the authorities and answer their orders. So please include:

If someone is in immediate danger, call the police first (911 in Canada).

Court orders, requests from the police or other authorities, and other formal legal correspondence go to contact@obleevo.com, in French or English. Copyright notices go to abuse@obleevo.com, as section 9 of the Terms explains.

We answer lawful requests, and we are as plain with authorities as with everyone else: the server keeps no record of rooms, files or messages, so what we can provide is limited to what the privacy notice describes.

7. What not to send

8. How we answer

By email only. There is no phone line, no live chat and no contact form. If someone calls or messages you claiming to be Obleevo, it is not us.

Write in French or English, and we will answer in the same language. A message in another language may take longer, and will be answered in French or English.

Reports of misuse are answered within two business days, privacy requests within 30 days, and security reports are acknowledged within 7 days. For general questions we cannot promise a fixed delay, but every message is read.
